A week before graduating high school, Karissa was crowned Miss Maine 2006. In addition to receiving the state talent award, she was the youngest contestant to compete at the 2007 Miss America Pageant broadcasted on Country Music Television. No stranger to the stage, Karissa is currently playing Marisa in the upcoming musical, Hear Our Song. In addition, she will be the new face of Laura Dahl's 2008 spring collection.
